Psalms 117 GNV

Summary: The shortest chapter in the entire Bible, just two verses, issuing a universal summons to worship: "O praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people" (v. 1). Its brief reasoning is that God's "merciful kindness" toward Israel is great and his truth endures "for ever" (v. 2), making this tiny psalm a concentrated statement of praise extended beyond Israel to every nation.

1All nations, praise ye the Lord: all ye people, praise him.

2For his louing kindnes is great toward vs, and the trueth of the Lord endureth for euer. Praise yee the Lord.
