2 Thessalonians 3 WYC
Summary: Paul requests prayer that the word of the Lord would speed ahead and that he and his companions would be delivered from wicked and evil people, expressing confidence in the Thessalonians' obedience. He addresses believers who had stopped working and become idle busybodies, citing his own example of laboring so as not to burden anyone, and issuing the command, "If anyone is not willing to work, let him not eat" (v. 10). He instructs the church not to associate closely with such idle disobedient members, yet to warn them as brothers rather than treat them as enemies. The letter closes with a prayer for peace and Paul's personal greeting written in his own hand as a mark of authenticity.
