Job 18 WYC
Summary: Bildad speaks again, irritated that Job regards his friends as senseless beasts, and launches into an extended, vivid description of the fate awaiting the wicked, without directly naming Job. He describes the wicked man's light being put out, his steps shortened by his own schemes, and his path filled with snares, traps, and terrors that chase him at every turn. Bildad piles up images of calamity hungry for him, disease consuming his skin, his roots drying up beneath him and his branches withering above, his memory perishing from the earth, and his descendants having no place among the living, concluding that such is the place of one who does not know God.
